What is the Law of Assumption?

Neville Goddard's Law of Assumption is the principle that whatever you assume to be true in your imagination will manifest in your reality. It states that your external world is a direct reflection of your inner beliefs and assumptions.

Core Principles of the Law of Assumption:

  1. Assumption Creates Reality – What you consistently assume to be true, whether positive or negative, will shape your life.

  2. Consciousness is the Only Reality – Your external world is a projection of your inner state. To change your life, you must first change your assumptions.

  3. Live in the End – Assume and feel as if your desire is already fulfilled. Embody the state of the wish fulfilled, and reality will conform.

  4. Imagination is the Creative Power – You manifest through imagination. Visualize and feel the reality you desire as if it already exists.

  5. Persist in the Assumption – Even if reality contradicts your assumption, persist in the new belief until it hardens into fact.

How to Apply It:

  • Define your desire. Get clear on what you want.

  • Construct a scene that implies fulfillment. Visualize it in the first person.

  • Feel the reality of your assumption. Embody the emotional state of having it.

  • Persist in the assumption. Do not waver or react to the old reality (also known as ignoring the 3D).

  • Trust the process. Your assumptions must out-picture in your world.

Neville Goddard taught that reality is malleable, and by assuming the right state of consciousness, you can transform your life. The key is to assume and persist in the feeling of already having what you desire.
